Emily Croker Grade A ADI
Principal Driving Instructor Trainer
Providing professional training, coaching and mentoring for potential and qualified driving instructors (PDIs and ADIs) throughout the UK.
Emily – or Em as she likes to be known – is one of those people you immediately warm to, and feel like you’ve known for years. She’s easy to talk to, interested and interesting in equal measure.
Originally from the north-west of England, Em is happily settled in Devon with her husband and young son. As well as enjoying the ‘wonderful chaos’ of being a mum, Em enjoys being outdoors, exploring the Devon countryside with her family. She also likes snowboarding, playing football and socialising with friends. Em is also a keen and loyal supporter of Liverpool FC.
Em has always been passionate about road safety and, upon commencing her career as a driving instructor, quickly progressed to becoming a Grade A ADI. Keen to broaden her skills, she also qualified as a Fleet Trainer and delivered training for fleets (vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and trailer towing).
Never one to ‘rest on her laurels’ Em made the decision to transition to an Instructor Trainer, a role that involves developing advanced coaching skills in order to coach trainee instructors. During this time in her career she held the position of senior trainer, regularly delivering one-to-one in-car training sessions, and online and classroom workshops.
Em is a firm believer in continuing professional development for both herself and for those instructors that she works with. Em has had the privilege of receiving training from ORDIT Trainer, Brian M Stratton ADI, one of the UK’s highest qualified and most widely experienced trainers. She is ORDIT trained and is currently awaiting the ORDIT register to open. Em also actively encourages other instructors to engage in additional training to further develop their skills and broaden their experience.
In addition to training new instructors, Em helps to prepare ADIs for their Standards Check, a test undertaken periodically by all ADIs and carried out by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.

At EmPower our mission is to elevate the overall standard of driving tuition by developing highly skilled professional driving instructors by means of education, client-centred learning and safe driving techniques. Coaching and tuition provided is always done in a supportive, relaxed and friendly manner, with an emphasis placed on doing (practical application) and understanding (theoretical knowledge and instructional techniques).
We will always endeavour to work in a collaborative manner, aiming to foster an environment where driving instructors feel empowered – confident, competent and in control, and feel able to achieve their goals and dreams. We believe that this type of approach builds trust, strengthens the coach-client relationship, and leads to greater motivation, growth and a sense of accomplishment.
